Welcome to Carinthia, the southernmost and sunniest part of Austria. Italian influences determine the weather. This ensures pleasant temperatures. Sunny and warm in the summer, sunny and cold in the winter. And palm trees on Lake Wörth, the largest of Carinthia's many lakes. Due to the many hours of sunshine in this region, most lakes have a wonderful swimming temperature of 25 degrees or even more in May.
Our accommodations are located at Park Sonnleiten in Sonnleiten (municipality of Gnesau), in the middle of Carinthia. The Gurk River flows through the park. From everywhere in the park you have a view of the beautiful mountains, and there is a swimming pool of 15 x 8 meters. You can relax, but also go for hikes,
cycling and mountain bike tours or a trip to one of the many sights that Carinthia has to offer. By car you can reach several Carinthian lakes and five ski areas in less than 30 minutes! Sunday is the 'Ruhetag' in the park.
